Christopher Gawryletz — Turn a single name into a brand — one honest page that earns a stranger's trust in the time it takes to read it.

Personal Portfolio · Alberta · Live site: christophergawryletz.com

Christopher Gawryletz needed the web to do what a strong first impression does in person: establish who he is, show what he can do, and make the next step obvious — fast. The answer was not a sprawling site but a single, deliberate page.

We built a one-page personal portfolio that folds work, story, and contact into one uninterrupted scroll — a name treated as a brand, resolved in under a minute of reading.

The challenge

A personal portfolio faces a paradox: it must feel complete without becoming a maze. Too many pages dilute a single person's story; too few leave visitors unsure what they're looking at.

The real challenge was editorial restraint — deciding what to leave out so that work, story, and a way to get in touch could share one screen without competing.

It also had to work for someone arriving cold, with no prior context about who Christopher is or why they should keep reading.

Strategic objectives

  1. Present one name as a coherent, memorable personal brand.
  2. Compress work, story, and contact into a single page that reads in under a minute.
  3. Make the path to reach out unmistakable from anywhere on the page.
  4. Give a first-time visitor enough to understand and trust Christopher quickly.

One Page, One Argument

Multiple pages fragment a single person's story and force visitors to hunt for the thread that ties it together.

We committed to a single-page architecture — work, story, and contact sequenced as one intentional scroll rather than separated into navigable sections.

Christopher's introduction now unfolds as one continuous argument, so a visitor absorbs the whole picture in a single sitting instead of assembling it from parts.

The Name as the Brand

Without a company logo or product to lead with, the name itself has to carry recognition and tone.

We built the design language around the name — typography, spacing, and hierarchy tuned so 'Christopher Gawryletz' reads as a considered identity, not just a header.

The page feels branded and deliberate, giving a personal portfolio the presence usually reserved for an established business.

Work That Speaks First

Claims about ability are cheap; visitors trust what they can see more than what they're told.

We positioned the work to do the talking, with the supporting story framing it rather than crowding it out.

Credibility is shown before it is stated, so the page persuades through evidence and lets the writing stay lean.

An Obvious Way to Reach Out

A portfolio that impresses but hides its contact path wastes the interest it just earned.

We kept the path to get in touch clear and reachable throughout the single scroll, so intent never has to be searched for.

The moment a visitor is convinced, the next step is already in front of them — closing the gap between interest and contact.

The mobile experience

On a phone, the single-page format is a natural advantage: the whole story flows under the thumb as one uninterrupted scroll, with type, spacing, and touch targets sized for small screens so work, story, and contact stay legible and reachable without pinching or hunting.

Search & discoverability

Built on a clean, single-domain foundation with the name front and centre, the site is structured so that someone searching for Christopher Gawryletz by name lands on a clear, authoritative page that reads quickly and represents him accurately.

Technology & ownership

A lightweight single-page build with the name-as-brand at its centre — kept simple, fast, and easy to maintain so the site loads quickly and stays entirely Christopher's own.
