Street Smart Detailing — Making the standard of the work visible before the first call.

Automotive Services · Calgary, Alberta · Launched 2025 · Live site: streetsmartdetailing.com

Street Smart Detailing is a mobile vehicle restoration and detailing service operated by Calem Wood in Calgary, Alberta. Local Cochrane Web Design built its website as a digital showroom — a 3D-inflected brand experience where the quality of the finish is visible before a customer ever makes contact.

Detailing is a craft judged entirely by its result, and a mobile operation has no storefront where that result can speak. The website had to be the showroom: surface, reflection, and precision presented with the same care the work itself receives. The build pairs that visual standard with a booking path simple enough to complete from a phone between errands. In the owner's own words: 'Parker has crafted a website for my company that not only is so well done but more than what I was looking for! With features I didn't know I wanted until he made it.'

The challenge

The business needed its digital presence to do what a showroom does for premium retail: establish, before any conversation, that this is the high end of the craft. A generic template with stock photography would price the work down before a quote was ever discussed.

At the same time, the experience could not become an art piece. The visitor is a car owner with a practical question — what does this cost, and how do I book it — and the site had to answer while it impressed.

Strategic objectives

  1. Make the standard of the finish unmistakable within the first screen — the visual experience itself as proof of craft.
  2. Keep a practical booking path within reach of the visual showcase, so admiration converts to appointments.
  3. Present the mobile service model clearly — the customer needs to understand that the craft comes to them.
  4. Give a one-person operation a brand presence that competes with established studios.

A showroom with no address

The business's best salesman — the finished vehicle — was invisible online, and a mobile service has nowhere physical to display it.

The site was built as a 3D-inflected brand experience: full-frame vehicle presentation, surface and reflection treated as the subject, motion used to reveal the work the way light moves across a finished panel.

The visitor experiences the standard of the work before contacting the business. The perceived value of the service is set by the craft, not by the average of the market.

From admiration to appointment

Visual impact wins attention, but detailing is booked between errands, on a phone, in a spare minute.

The conversion path stays simple and close to the showcase — clear service framing and a direct route to contact that doesn't require leaving the experience or hunting through menus.

The site converts the moment of being impressed instead of hoping the visitor returns later. The owner's calendar, not just his reputation, benefits from the craft.

One craftsman, full-brand presence

A single-operator business is judged against studio competitors with storefronts and staff.

The brand experience was built to studio standard — a coherent visual identity carried through every screen, presenting the operation by the quality of its output rather than the size of its team.

The business competes on craft, where it wins. As the owner put it: 'The website is smooth and sharp. All the essentials are met and more!'

The mobile experience

Detailing customers shop from their phones — often from the driver's seat of the very car they want restored. The mobile experience preserves the full visual standard of the desktop showroom while keeping the practical layer — services, contact, booking — one thumb-move away. The showcase never buries the till.

Search & discoverability

The site's discoverability work is foundational: crawlable pages with a clear service-and-market identity (mobile vehicle restoration, Calgary), real HTML beneath the visual layer, and page structure that lets search engines understand a visually rich site. The showroom is built on an indexable frame.
