Lashes by Halle — Turning a personal craft into a brand that books itself.

Beauty & Lash Studio · Calgary NW, Alberta · Launched 2025 · Live site: lashesbyhalle.com

Lashes by Halle is a lash extension studio serving northwest Calgary. Local Cochrane Web Design built its website around two jobs: presenting an individual beauty professional as a polished, trustworthy brand, and moving bookings out of direct messages and into a system that works while she works.

Independent beauty businesses typically live on Instagram — which builds an audience but leaves booking trapped in DMs: appointment requests mixed into a feed of messages, each needing a personal reply, each an opportunity for a client to drift away. The build gives the studio a home of its own, where the brand is presented deliberately, trust is established before arrival, and booking is an action a client completes in a minute — not a conversation the artist must staff. Her experience of the project is on camera in her own words.

The challenge

The business needed what social media cannot provide: a place where the brand is presented on its own terms — services and standards laid out clearly — and where a new client can move from interest to booked appointment without a single back-and-forth message.

The brand also had to feel personal. A clinical, corporate treatment would erase the very quality — individual care — that clients are choosing.

Strategic objectives

  1. Give an individual artist a brand presence that reads as established, polished, and worth trusting with a close-quarters service.
  2. Move booking from DMs to an online system — clients book in a minute, and the calendar fills without the artist answering messages.
  3. Present services with the clarity a first-time lash client needs to choose confidently.
  4. Anchor the business's identity in its real market: lash extensions, northwest Calgary.

From profile to brand

On a social feed, an independent artist is one scroll among thousands; her presentation is shaped by the platform, not by her.

The site presents the studio as a deliberate brand — an experience where imagery, tone, and structure are hers, and where a first-time visitor immediately understands the standard of care on offer.

A prospective client meets the professional, not the platform. The perceived establishment of the business rises to match the actual quality of the work.

Booking that works while she works

Every appointment booked through DMs costs the artist twice: once in admin time, once in the risk of a slow reply losing the client.

Online booking was built into the site as the primary action — visible from every meaningful moment, simple enough to complete on a phone in under a minute.

Clients book at the moment of decision, including evenings when interest peaks. The artist's hands stay on her craft; the calendar manages itself.

Clarity for the first-time client

Lash services have their own vocabulary — sets, fills, styles — that a new client may not speak. Confusion is a booking killer.

Services are presented in plain, welcoming language with clear structure, so a first-time client can identify the right appointment without needing to ask.

The intimidation barrier drops. New clients — the growth engine of a personal-service business — can book with confidence, not just regulars.

The mobile experience

Beauty booking happens on the phone, and often outside business hours. The mobile experience is the primary experience: the brand's polish preserved at phone scale, services readable in a scroll, and the booking action reachable from every screen. A client who decides at 9pm has an appointment by 9:02.

Search & discoverability

The build anchors the business's search identity to its real market — lash extensions in northwest Calgary — with a crawlable structure and clear page identity, giving an Instagram-native business its first real presence in the channel where new clients search when they don't yet know who to follow.

Services delivered

Lashes by Halle now runs on a system worthy of the craft: a brand that earns trust before the first appointment, and a booking flow that fills the calendar without filling the inbox. The artist does the artistry; the website does the rest.
