VeePo is the Cochrane studio behind Local Cochrane Web Design. Its own site carries a harder brief than any client project: every prospect inspects it, and any gap between what it claims and how it performs is read as the studio's real standard.
We built a dark, motion-led showroom that opens on a single positioning line — “Where Vision Meets Precision” — and moves quickly to the two things that can actually be commissioned: full-stack web development and premium business cards.
Behind the opening sits the proof: a case-study library of real client sites with client satisfaction and project counts stated plainly, so the studio argues from work rather than from adjectives.
VeePo works with owner-led businesses across Cochrane, Calgary and Alberta, and Local Cochrane Web Design is its locally focused arm.
The studio's clients are mostly not designers. They judge a web company by whether its own site feels expensive, fast and considered — before they read a word about process.
Because the studio publishes client case studies, the site also functions as the shared reference point every sales conversation returns to.
A studio site can easily become a brochure about itself. The harder job is making it the strongest exhibit in its own portfolio.
A heavily animated dark interface risks being slow or unreadable — which would disprove the exact claim it is making.
Two very different offers — websites and printed business cards — had to sit together without the smaller one diluting the primary business.
A studio has seconds to establish that it operates at a higher standard than the cheapest available option.
The site opens on a dark full-screen composition with a single positioning line and one action — Start Your Project — with the logomark resolving behind it rather than sitting on top of it.
The first impression is a demonstration of restraint and finish, which is precisely the thing a prospective client is trying to assess.
Visitors leave when they cannot tell what is actually being sold.
Services resolve to two explicit routes — full-stack web development and premium business cards — each with a plain description and its own path deeper.
A prospect knows within one screen whether the studio does what they need, so the following sections are read with intent rather than curiosity.
Every web studio claims quality; almost none hand the visitor the finished sites to inspect.
The case-study library leads with real client projects and states the project count and client-satisfaction figure directly alongside them.
The claim becomes checkable — a prospect can open the client sites and judge for themselves, which is the fastest route to trust.
A dark, motion-led interface is only impressive if it stays quick and readable on an ordinary phone.
Motion is kept to transform and opacity, type is sized for contrast against the dark ground, and the primary action stays within thumb reach on mobile.
The aesthetic holds on the device where most first visits happen, so the site proves rather than undermines its own performance argument.
Most first visits to a studio site arrive from a phone — a referral text, a link in an email, a search after a recommendation. The opening is recomposed for portrait so the positioning line and the Start Your Project action sit in the thumb zone, the case-study library scrolls as a single readable column, and the motion stays light enough that the experience feels immediate rather than heavy.
VeePo's site is the hub of a small network: it owns the studio brand nationally while Local Cochrane Web Design carries the local market. Descriptive service naming — web design, Cochrane, Alberta, premium business cards — plus an indexable case-study library give search engines and answer engines real client work to associate with the studio, rather than a single unreadable animated page.
Built and owned outright by the studio, with the case-study system structured as data so new client work can be published without rebuilding the page — the same architecture the studio ships to its clients.
Because it is the one sample every prospect inspects. Any gap between what a studio claims and how its own site performs is read as the studio's real standard. VeePo's site is built to be judged on exactly the terms it asks clients to judge a website by.
Two things, named early on the site: full-stack web development and premium business cards. The opening positioning line is followed quickly by the commissionable work, because a showroom that delays naming what it sells wastes the attention it just earned.
With real client sites rather than concepts. VeePo's site carries a case-study library of live builds with client context, so a prospect can leave the studio's site, visit the finished work, and verify the claim independently — which is the only kind of proof that survives scrutiny.
Only when it is unmanaged. The dark, motion-led presentation is held to the same loading and mobile standards as any client build, because a studio site that feels slow contradicts its own argument more loudly than any competitor could.
You own it outright. The site, its code, its content and its domain belong to the business, not to us and not to a platform. There is no licence to keep paying and no template subscription — the website is an asset the owner controls and can take anywhere.
A web studio is judged on one sample before any other: its own site. VeePo's is built to be inspected — fast, restrained, and pointing straight at real client work a prospect can open and judge themselves.
